Temples

I am back in Bangalore after a pilgrimage to Guruvayoor and Sabarimala. Visits to temple in Kerala keeps me wondering. How do they maintain the temples so clean irrespective of the heavy crowd? Why doesnt this happen in Tamil Nadu.
